Havant & District Holiday Venture (“HDHV”) aims to provide equality of opportunity for every child/young person who attends the playscheme irrespective of race, gender, family culture and background, language or physical disability.

Every child/young person will have equal access to creative, stimulating and adventurous programme of activities according to her/his individual needs.

Within the playscheme, all children/young people will be treated equally with kindness, respect and affection, and discipline if necessary. This should be consistent and fair, and not involve the withdrawal of any basic human right nor physical punishment.

Any discipline should take into account individual understanding and level of development and be appropriate to the child/young person’s disability/special need.

HDHV’s intention is to promote positive feedback as HDHV believes children/young people respond better to this and it strengthens their concept of their own self worth.
